Restore replaces what is on the server with that file. Your current work is overwritten, so download first if you are unsure.

Keep the file private. It contains your secret and your linked WhatsApp session.

Connect your own Claude subscription so your agent runs on your account. Everything happens in your browser.

  1. Open your agent from the Open tab, then open the Terminal inside it.
  2. Type this and press Enter:
    claude setup-token
  3. Click the link it prints. Sign in with your Claude account and approve. A paid Claude subscription is required. Your free ChatGPT or other accounts will not work here.
  4. Copy the code the browser gives you, paste it back in the terminal, press Enter. You now have a token starting with sk-ant-oat01-. Copy it.
  5. Hand that token to your agent:
    openclaw models auth paste-token --provider anthropic --expires-in 365d
    Paste the token when it asks, then press Enter.
  6. Send your agent a message. It should answer.

The token lasts a year and stays inside your own agent. It is included in your backup, so keep backup files private.

Heavy use can hit your subscription's limits. If your agent stops answering, that is usually why.
